Deletion

At Zooby, we respect your right to control your personal data. This page explains the different ways you can delete your data from our platform, including how to disconnect Google integrations, delete your account, and request removal of stored data.

1. Delete Your Zooby Account

You may request full deletion of your Zooby account and all associated data at any time.

How to request account deletion:

Email us at [email protected] with the subject line "Account Deletion Request"
Include your full name and the email address associated with your account
We will process your request within 30 days and confirm deletion via email

What gets deleted:

Your profile information (name, email, phone, address)
All attendance records and shift data
Tasks, projects, and messages associated with your account
All notification preferences and history
All Google OAuth tokens (Calendar, Drive, Gmail)

2. Disconnect Google Integrations

You can disconnect any Google integration at any time without deleting your Zooby account. This immediately revokes Zooby's access to the respective Google service.

Available integrations to disconnect:

Google Calendar: Navigate to Integration Settings and disconnect the Calendar channel
Google Drive: Navigate to Integration Settings and disconnect the Drive account
Gmail: Navigate to Integration Settings and disconnect the Gmail account

What gets deleted upon disconnection:

All OAuth access tokens for the disconnected service
All OAuth refresh tokens for the disconnected service
All cached metadata from the disconnected service

Disconnecting Meta & Instagram Accounts:

In Zooby Dashboard: Go to Connected Social Accounts → find your Instagram/Facebook account → click Disconnect Account. This immediately purges encrypted tokens and cached profile data from Zooby servers.
In Instagram Mobile App: Go to Settings & Privacy → Website Permissions → Apps and Websites → find zooby-IG → tap Remove.
In Facebook Account: Go to Settings & Privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites → find Zooby → click Remove.

Note: Disconnecting Meta integrations immediately purges all encrypted OAuth access tokens and cached messages from our database.

3. Request Deletion of Specific Data

You may request deletion of specific data associated with your account without deleting your entire account.

To request specific data deletion, email us at [email protected] with details of what data you would like removed.

4. Organization Deletion

If you are an organization administrator, you may request deletion of the entire organization workspace, including all associated data for all members.

5. Deletion Timeframe

Google OAuth tokens: Deleted immediately upon disconnection
Account data: Deleted within 30 days of receiving a verified deletion request
Organization data: Deleted within 30 days of receiving a verified request from an administrator
Backup data: Retained for up to 90 days in secure backups before permanent removal

6. Data Retained for Legal Obligations

Certain data may be retained for a limited period to comply with legal, tax, or regulatory obligations, including financial records for tax compliance, employment records, and security audit logs.
